LAS VEGAS (AP) — The legislative session is a whole month away, but Nevadans can already get a sneak peak at nearly 200 bills and resolutions expected to end up before lawmakers this spring.
One of the bills would lift a ban on wineries in Clark and Washoe counties, while another would raise the maximum speed limit in Nevada from 75 mph to 85 mph.
A third one would let the state tax the liquid nicotine used in increasingly popular e-cigarettes.
The measures are “pre-filed” so they’re ready to go on the first day of the session and can get a hearing early on. They account for a fraction of the estimated 1,000 bills that will be drafted before and during the four-month session.
